# Invoice settings: what each option does

**Settings** → **Invoice** holds the company-wide defaults for every invoice and estimate. Owners and managers can change them. In the app: **Menu** → **All modules** → **Setup** → **Invoice branding**.

Click **Save** at the bottom (app: **Save settings**) after changing anything. Logo and layout changes save on their own.

### Invoice, Estimate, Recurring invoice options

- **Invoice title** and **Estimate title**: the name printed on documents (see *Invoice and estimate titles*).
- **Start invoice number**: the number of your very first invoice (see *Invoice numbering*).
- **Auto-convert estimate after client accept it.**: see *Convert an estimate to an invoice*.

### Global options

- **Main color**: see *Invoice layouts, logo and main color*.
- **Default due date after**: days until new invoices are due (default 7).
- **Add Invoice/Estimate as attachment in sent email.**
- **Add QR code to PDF.** (on by default; see *Show or hide content, QR code and branding*).
- **Send copy of Invoice/Estimate to my email when they are sent to customer.** The copy goes to the email the company owner signs in with. It covers single and bulk sends, recurring invoices and reminders.

### Hide content in invoice and estimate

Hide your address, country, phone or email, the same for your customer, or the "Bill to" and "Bill from" labels. See *Show or hide content, QR code and branding*.

### Format options

- **Default date format**: MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD. It's used on PDFs, the online invoice and estimate page, your customer dashboard, and the due date in invoice and reminder emails. Other dates in the mobile app show as, for example, "Oct 23, 2026".
- **Hide IQ branding from send email footer.**
- **Default currency**: see *Invoice currency*.
- **Item decimal points**: how many decimals prices show (app: **Price decimals**).
- **Dashboard default date range**: the period the website dashboard opens with.

**Default payment terms** and **Default customer notes**. See *Default payment terms and notes*.

### FAQ

**Where do I set up reminder emails?** Not here. Go to **Invoicing** → **Reminders** (see *How invoice reminders work*).

**How do I set the payment due days for recurring invoices?** Set **Payment due** on each recurring invoice. New ones start at 15 days. The **Recurring profile payment due in** setting doesn't change this.

**Some switches are locked.** They aren't included in your current plan.
