Add an external payment link
Already take payments through Square, Wise, a booking site or your own checkout? Add that link to your invoice. Your customer gets a Payment link button next to your other payment options.
Add the link (website)
- Open the invoice editor.
- Under Accepted payments, find External link and click Setup.
- Paste the full address of your payment page, starting with https://.
- Save it, and make sure External link is ticked.
- Save the invoice.
To change it later, click Edit next to External link.
Add the link (app)
- In the invoice builder, open More options → Accepted payments.
- Switch on External link and enter your payment URL.
- Tap Save & continue.
What your customer sees
On the invoice page, your customer clicks Payment link. InvoiceQuick tells them they're leaving for another site, then opens your page.
Good to know
- The link is set per invoice. To reuse it, save the invoice as a template or duplicate it. Recurring invoices have their own link setting.
- InvoiceQuick doesn't know when your customer pays through the link. Record the payment yourself (see Record a payment and send a receipt).
- Test the link from the invoice page before you send. InvoiceQuick doesn't check that the address works.
FAQ
My customer says the button goes nowhere. Open the invoice editor, click Edit next to External link, and check the address starts with https://.
Can I use only the payment link and no other options? Yes. Untick the other options and keep External link ticked.
