How billing and auto-renewal work
This article is about paying InvoiceQuick for your own subscription. To get paid by your customers, see How to change payment settings instead.
How billing works
- You pay in advance at the start of each billing period: every month on monthly, every year on annual.
- Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- Each renewal is charged to the card on file.
- You can always see your Next billing date and Next invoice amount on the Billing page.
- We don't send a renewal reminder. Note your Next billing date from the Billing page, and cancel before it if you don't want to renew.
- No tax is added. You're charged in US dollars.
Open your Billing page
- Click your name or avatar (top right).
- Choose Billing. The page is called Billing information.
Only the account owner sees Billing. If you're a manager or team member, ask the owner of the account.
On the Billing page you'll find:
- Your plan, with Change plan and Cancel subscription
- Payment method, with Manage cards
- Invoice history ("Your recent billing statements"). Open or download each receipt as a PDF.
- Credit, if your account has a credit balance (see Switching between monthly and annual (and how to cancel without switching))
Receipts
After each payment you get a receipt by email, with the subject "Your receipt from Invoice Quick #…". It's sent by our payment provider, Stripe, so the sender address ends in @stripe.com. When a refund is issued you get "Your refund from Invoice Quick #…".
Paying InvoiceQuick vs. getting paid by your clients
| I want to… | Where |
|---|---|
| Pay for my InvoiceQuick plan, or change the card it uses | Name/avatar menu (top right) → Billing → Manage cards |
| Let my customers pay my invoices online | Settings (left sidebar) → Payments. See How to change payment settings |
On the web, your plan is paid by card only. It's charged automatically, so there's no bill to pay by hand.
FAQ
Is there autopay for my subscription? Yes. Renewals are charged automatically to your card until you cancel.
I didn't realise my plan renews automatically. What now? Cancel so it won't renew again (see Cancel your subscription vs. delete your account). Payments, including renewals, aren't refundable. See Refund policy.
Why do I see $19 invoices every month when I paid yearly? Your plan was probably switched to monthly. The unused part of your yearly payment became credit, and the monthly invoices are paid from it, not from your card. Check Credit and Invoice history on the Billing page. Contact us if anything looks wrong.
Why was I charged twice? Check Invoice history for two payments in the same period. Then email support@invoicequick.com with both receipt numbers and we'll look into it.
I was charged in another currency. We charge in US dollars. A different currency on your statement is your bank's conversion.
I subscribed in the iPhone or Android app. See Subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play.
