# How to add a tax to the invoice?

## Follow these steps to add taxes to specific products or services on an invoice, ensuring they are accurately calculated and displayed in the subtotal.

### To add taxes to an invoice in InvoiceQuick, follow these steps:

1. Open the invoice you want to add taxes to and click on **edit**.

2. Locate the specific product/service to which you want to apply taxes.

3. Click on the option to apply taxes to that product/service.
4. A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to select the tax you want to apply from the available options.

5. Select the appropriate tax for that product/service.

Once you have added the taxes to the item, the taxes will be reflected in the subtotal at the bottom of the invoice. The subtotal will display the total amount including the applied taxes.
